Lazy Sunday

You know, it's really refreshing to get some time off every now and again. Before this weekend, I was worked 12 days in a row with hospital and/or office responsibilities (sometimes 12-14 hour days). Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for sympathy, just sleep. And, boy have I taken a break this weekend.

I was really thinking of not blogging today, because, hey, I've really got nothing going on -- and for me that's news. I'm used to the go,go,go schedule and no time to take a breath. Don't worry, I'll be returning to that tomorrow.

But for today, maybe I'll just hop around the blogosphere (and catch some blograys and work on my blog tan), or really start that diet/exercise program I've been meaning to do, or take more of a break today. Oh well, I guess it's my choice. What are you doing today?

Reading your blog :) Not to diminish my admiration of your blog, it's that or data entry into SPSS. A nobrainer, eh?
Thanks for blog rolling me. I finally got round to updating mine!

I'm going to church (I teach the adult ladies sunday school) and in church going to watch my 16 year old and 3 other youth group members (all juniors or seniors in highschool)read a 'reader's theater' reading for the service.

I get the extra proud mom because he wrote what they're reading. :D

I'm home from work sick. Missing a 12 hour day is a bad idea, since they force us to make up weekend days, but when you don't feel good, you don't feel good. So I'm doing absolutely nothing other than staying in bed and sleeping a lot. And making a phone call I promised someone I would make.

Hope you have a very relaxing day. I used to do 12 days straight all the time, but by the time I got to the day off, I would not be able to do anything else because I was so tired!! Put up your feet, find a good sporting event on tv, and crack open a diet coke! :O)

Hello Dr. A.

I linked onto your blog from "about a nurse." You're blog is a hoot! I am a mouse potato, and have bookmarked your blog. During my daily rounds on the web, I'll be back everyday to see what you are up to. I am also putting you on my blogroll.

Best Regards, Mother Jones RN

I'm making dinner for my family. Homemade chix n noodles, mashed potatoes (real), fruit salad, sliced tomatoes, green onions and sugar cream pie. It's a Sunday tradition that I make dinner for all.

I'm also packing for my trip and reading blogs.

I hope you have a very relazing day.

hey doc!
hi everyone!
i'm working 11a-11p...and it isnt too insane right now, so i am bloghopping a bit ;) i also brought in a birthday cake mom made for me to share with the nurses here...its cute - light green icing, darker green border and writing, and Ladybug Candles!!! will try for a picture, if i can!

carrie, i hope you are feeling better soon sweetie. i get migraines but they arent nearly what you experience, and i know *i* am miserable when i get mine, so i feel for you... get plenty of rest and do what you need to do. btw, have you been at your workplace long enough to qualify for FMLA? i hope so. it takes a lot of the mental stress of missing time off...

have a great day everyone!

PS - may: have you read da vinci code yet? i loved angels & demons much more!!!

Dr. A. I just realized how many hours that actually was. WOW, 12 days straight working 12-14 hours. You must be exhausted. Do you work in private practice or in a medical group? If you work in a group you need to tell your partners to share in all this OT.. Unless they all do the same thing?

You probably told at some point but I can't remember it if you did.

Hi all! I've been taking it easy today. Watched "Face Off", the Nicholas Cage / John Travolta almost ten-year-old movie. I love it every time I see it. Later, we are having dinner with some friends. I can't believe how the weekend flew by. I will be blogging from my desk tomorrow.

HealthPsych, I don't even know what SPSS is! Sounds kind of boring, though.

DA, I didn't know you taught sunday school...
--
Carrie, reading your blog, sounds like you had a rough morning. Hope this afternoon is better..
--
Mother Jones, Thanks for stopping by and for the blogroll. I appreciate it.
--
May & Ladybug, It's been a while since I've read Da Vinci code, but I haven't read angels and demons, yet...
--
Cathy, I did get your e-mail with the Blue Angels pictures. I can't believe the tight flying that they did. I probably wouldn't recommend putting them in your blog, just because blogger may not like it and your whole site would crash down. That wouldn't be good.
--
Lea, I also have a list of movies that I can keep watching over and over...

Four words, Dr. A., statistical program data entry. Hope you're not offended!

HP, I always knew that was a four letter word...

I had a Solo Sunday afternoon yesterday (Monday morning here in Manila as I write this...) and it was wonderful! I hope you indulge in more "Me" time whenever you have the chance. It's just so refreshing!

monday morning here meant to be getting the washing done, putting away firewood, mopping the floors, and we were doing all that until we came here and read.
I think we are good at being distracted ;)
