Safe, Quality Hospital Care

Safe, Quality Hospital care is something that is in the news a lot these days. The interview above is between Paul Levy, President/CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and Val Jones. Paul discusses his innovative approach to keeping patients aware of the safety record of his hospital. For more information, I encourage you to watch Part2 and Part3 of this interview.

In case you didn't know, Paul was also on The Doctor Anonymous Show back on April 3, 2008 on Show Number 29. You'll not be surprised that our discussion also talked about accountability especially with safe, quality hospital care. (You can listen to the show in the player below. Or, even download the show and listen anytime by clicking here.)

This is a good thing for hospitals, for patients, and for communities. After all, it is the right of the patients to have this type of service and the responsibility of the doctor and nurse to have this kind of transparency.
