I have a surprise for all of you! I've been working on this all day and all night. Yes, I've went off the deep end and tried to do a podcast, er, blogcast. What's a blogcast? What city am I in? What have I been doing? All your questions will be answered.
Just a warning: This is a 10MB file. So, if you don't have a high speed connection, then forget it. Yes, this is my actual voice. If there are any problems with the download and/or the playback, let me know. Also FYI, it's about 8 and a half minutes. Hopefully, I'll be back home safe and sound by Friday night.

Completely charming - I love it! And the music wraps it all together. You're awesome, Dr. A.
It's so funny how people actually sound different than you imagine.
Good blogcast voice!
Wow, they should hire you as news reader.
At least you enjoyed the place with its wireless connection. :)
I laughed at the Chinese entrepreneur headline. :)
hey good one doc! i thought there would be pictures though...
and now that i know what you sound like i am SURE i know what you look like. funny how that works, huh?
have fun on your trip and hurry back to us!
bee
thanks for making my whole day, doc!!! :) had a rough one yesterday, and woke up still a little rough around the edges... your blogcast made me laugh. the commercial sponsorship is awesome, especially so early in your blogcast career!
if the medical thing doesnt work out, i could totally see you in radio!!! very nice voice!
Phooey, I can't get it to work. Just DL internet explorer & yesterday. I hope it has nothing to do with that....
What's your sampling rate? If you drop it down below 128 you might be able to reduce your file size a bit. My fifteen minute SlashDot Review podcast files aren't that big. You sound great, though not nearly as anonymous. Now Dinah's going to want to try this.
Your voice sounds like a neonatologist whom I dated last spring . . . weird. He has seven kids and an ex-wife with borderline personality disorder. Yikes. That is the picture I have of you now! Uh, thanks. lol
aughhhh i don't have DSL.... not yet but in like two more weeks I am so coming back to this post and listening you just wait....i'll get to hear it;)
That's fun...you did a great job with it.
ok i tried it downloaded but didn't play. can you include some more directions for us dumb clucks or just for me.
fun!! Too funny to put a voice to all the writing!
Very cool. Nice voice, Stephan A Wright delivery.
Rdl: One of the things that could be happening is that it's not downloading into your browser. I would suggest downloading it to your computer then playing it. I think if you right click (or is it left click) and then pick download, it will download to your computer. If you then double click it on your desktop, or wherever you downloaded it to, then maybe it'll play.
The other thing that may need to happen is that you'll need to download quicktime which is media playing software. The blogcast is recorded in the quicktime format. Quicktime can be downloaded at quicktime.com
Let me know if this doesn't help. Maybe someone out there can also give advice. I'm a Mac guy. I'm not well versed in Windoze.
Dr. A...I loved it! I just got home a while ago and left my own audio blog. But, it hasn't shown up yet. It is about 4 seconds long and consists of 1 sentence. Not anything like this of yours!
You have a great voice. I hope you do this more often. Man, I missed alot while I was away for a few days.
